Diana Vinagre

Diana studied modern cello, first in Braga and then in Lisbon, at the National Orchestral Academy, where she was a member of the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa. She has been awarded many different prizes in Portugal, and has participated in Master-classes by A. Nikitin, M. de Macedo, J. Reuling, L. Claret, X. Gagnepain, R. Zipperling, A. Bylsma, E. Wallfisch and B. van Oort.

Diana has both Bachelor and Master degrees in baroque cello and studied with J. ter Linden at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague in the Netherlands, where she received the Honours Programme Scholarship, given by the Conservatories of Den Haag and Amsterdam. Currently she is the first cello of the Lisbon-based baroque orchestra Divino Sospiro - director E.Onofri. She has played with the European Union Baroque Orchestra, the New Dutch Academy, the Orchestra of the 18th Century, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and Al Ayre Español, among other groups, and regularly works under the direction of E. Onofri, Ch. Bancchini, L. Cummings, M. Elder, V. Jurowsky, S. Murphy, B. Kuijken, Ch. Pluhar, E. Wallfisch, A. Bernardini, R. Alessandrini, E. Lopez Banzo e F. Bruggen.
